As a complete beginner, I wanted to practice UX design fundamentals by redesigning a food delivery app. I chose this project to learn about user flows, interface design, and basic usability principles.
I started by researching existing food delivery apps, watching UX tutorials, and following design best practices I found online. Then I practiced creating user personas and mapping out user journeys.
Through this project, I learned basic UX principles by studying existing apps and practicing design fundamentals.
Here's what I practiced and learned while working on this beginner project.
I practiced creating cleaner navigation by studying how successful apps organize their menus. I learned about information architecture and tried to make the app easier to navigate.
I practiced using colors, typography, and spacing by following design system principles I learned online. This helped me understand how visual hierarchy works in mobile apps.
I learned how to create basic prototypes in Figma to show how the app would work. This was my first time connecting screens and creating interactive elements.
As a beginner, here's what I learned and achieved through this first project.
